We feel very lucky to have sourced these gorgeous French vintage oyster Baskets from Île d'Oleron, where they were used to harvest and condition the oysters.
These baskets are becoming rare, since plastic replacements have been introduced. These are really solid, galvanised and have such a beautiful patina.
Very sturdy with a handle on each side - perfect for so many uses, from storing logs, toys, magazines, shoes, books, vegetables, cleaning products, recycling.....
Excellent condition, one has a handle missing on one side.
Size: Approx 50cm x 40cm x 24cm 19 1/2" x 16 1/4" x 9 1/2" The baskets taper slightly towards the base.
Weight approx 2.4 kg each, plus packaging.
